“SO YOU WANT MICHAEL MADSEN?”

AND “IT’S ALL A GAME” AWARDED GOLDEN ACE AWARDS AT THIS YEARS

LAS VEGAS INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

Below is a review from the Las Vegas Movie Examiner
So You Want Michael Madsen?

A documentary about how indie filmmakers try to get big names into their films to get them noticed. This documentary originally wanted Harvey Keitel. He would of been a great person to interview in this film, but no one knew him and in the indie world, it's not always "who YOU  know" but  "who you know that KNOWS who," confusing? It makes sense, and I actually have taken the theme of this film to heart in my own career as a movie examiner. The documentary filmmaker Stan Harrington spends most of the movie trying to get actor Michael Madsen (Pulp fiction) for an interview. Between the pain of watching him trying in vain to reach Madsen, after being given his number by a person who knew a person......You get to see interviews with such actors and filmmakers as Holland Taylor, John Saxon, Paul Pai Parker and Doug Hutchison. I was truly worried that Stan was going to have a coronary before he got to Madsen, but persistence paid off and the last of the movie is a wonderful interview with the quirky and outspoken actor Michael Madsen. This is a must see for any one who wants to get a boost in their career, be it filmmaking, writing or anything else. Never give up. Keep going. It's inspirational on many levels.

synopsis

When ladies man, Michael Corso, leaves the east coast for Hollywood, ostensibly to pursue his dream of acting, he encounters unexpected dating problems. Despite being urged by Maria, his roommate, to concentrate on his career, Mikey finds he cannot focus until he scores in the dating game first… a game where the rules have changed and the women come with a whole new set of complications. After a series of mind boggling dates, Mikey is forced to face up to whether he is up to the challenge of trying to woo the ladies of LA…or whether he will merely become another casualty of their eccentric needs. “It’s All A Game” is a side-splitting comedy that exposes the truth about dating in Hollywood.

So You Want Michael Madsen
On: Friday 23 May 2008 - 20:45:43
Hi guys...just a brief intro to my new documentary for filmmakers, "So You Want Michael Madsen?"

It concerns getting a name actor for independent and low budget films and will give you insight into what it takes to get them... if they will do it, how to go about it, and the do's and don't of the approach....

Many filmmakers have their own war stories about the struggles of getting anyone with a name so in an effort to give it to you straight rather than third hand I have gone directly to the artists and have compiled feature interviews with EMMY* Winner, Holland Taylor (2 and a Half Men), John Saxon (Enter The Dragon), Paula Jai Parker (Hustle and Flow) and Doug Hutchison (The Green Mile) to mention a few...you will also see footage of JERSEY BOY, Frankie Valli, and UFC Champ, Randy Couture.

To bring the documentary full circle, you will also follow me on a quest to get Michael Madsen for an interview for this project.

The premiere will be at The Action On Film Festival in Pasedena, CA. in July 2008, http://www.aoffest.com/ but I will keep you all informed as to other screenings here and in other states....

Here's a taste ...

Hope you like the trailer!!!
